villa Pallavicino delle Peschiere, Genoa
The Villa Pallavicino delle Peschiere is located in Via San Bartolomeo degli Armeni, attributed to Galeazzo Alessi and commissioned by Tobia Pallavicino (1560). In 1844, Charles Dickens lived in the villa and wrote: “There is not in Italy, they say (and I believe them), a lovelier residence than the Palazzo Peschiere, or Palace of the Fishponds”.
